Meet Lucy LiBosha...

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to have taught thousands of children in my nineteen year career as a math teacher in the Nogales, Sunnyside, and TUSD school districts. Teaching is not an easy job, but it allows one to impact the lives of students in a positive way. I’ve always encouraged my students to look for ways to contribute to a cleaner, safer, and more constructive environment for themselves and those around them.

My long hours as a teacher have never stopped me from volunteering and getting involved because when community engagement is done right, it’s fun and rewarding!  I have formerly served as a union rep for the American Federation of Teachers, a board member of BICAS, and more recently, a Complete Streets Coordinating Committee member for the City of Tucson.

During my years in Tucson I've come to see the enormous disparities among our zip codes and school districts and I understand how these variables can make or break a person's life. That’s why I’m taking my passion for people and community one step further by running for Ward 3 City Council. Together we can INVEST, CONNECT, and UPLIFT our city!”

INVEST.
